In the near future, we will be updating this tool to add information about University of California (UC), participating independent, non-profit universities in California, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Western Governors University (WGU). See below for specific details about these partner institutions and list of participating universities.
Participating Independent, Non-Profit Universities in California
There are currently 12 independent, non-profit colleges and universities in California (member institutions of the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU)) officially partnered with Associate Degree for Transfer, with many more to come in the near future. As soon as spring 2020, all of these campuses will accept students who earn an Associate Degree for Transfer (with a minimum 2.0 GPA) with guaranteed admission into the major they apply for. Historically Black Colleges and Universities
An agreement signed March 17, 2015 between the California Community Colleges and select Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) enables students who earn an Associate Degree for Transfer (with a minimum 2.5 GPA) to earn guaranteed admission to the specific HBCU campus they apply to. Inquiries can be submitted to HBCUTransfer@cccco.edu.

Fully Online and Out-of-State Universities
The California Community Colleges has established agreements with various out of state universities that provide bachelor’s degree opportunities, including fully online pathways to a bachelor’s degree. Students who earn an Associate Degree for Transfer are guaranteed junior admission into the similar major program they apply for and the ability to complete a bachelor’s degree in sixty semester units. Universities that have signed these agreements include the following:
