Geology

When you complete an AS-T in Geology, you will have a foundational understanding of the scientific method as well as the physical and biological processes that affect and are recorded in rocks and minerals, all of which lead to an understanding of the structure and evolution of our planet. You will be prepared for transfer to a CSU campus, and ready for upper division coursework in majors such as geology and earth science. CSUs offer both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in this major, either of which can lead to careers in environmental and geotechnical firms, oil and mining companies, governmental agencies, and teaching K-12 science.
